My name is George Scott and besides being the events manager at Eagle Eye Book Shop in Decatur , Ga. , I am a man on a mission.

Of course, my mission is nothing like that of our gallant soldiers, sailors, pilots and Marines in Iraq , Afghanistan and wherever else freedom is being defended. But it does have everything to do with their steadfast courage and love of country.

A few years ago I wanted to supply these incredible warriors with as many quality books as possible. It was just a small way for our literary friends, customers, publishers and authors throughout the country to say thanks. We did so by sending more than 12,500 books overseas to our military heroes.

And now I would like to do it again.

The cost of doing this is daunting, but I am committed, & with your help, We can do this again. At the top, are links to our authors page – a direct link between you and the gifted writers who are donating hundreds and hundreds of books to this cause.

Vince Flynn, a world-wide best selling adventure writer, recently did a Heroes 2010 event at our Decatur store. The end result was as phenomenal as it was heart-warming – several boxes of books are now on their way to an American combat unit in Iraq .
